The new boiler is finished and ready to be transported from Keighley, West Yorkshire, to Shoreham. Some of the workforce who worked on it are pictured here.
It will be shrink wrapped to prevent dirt and rain getting on to it so it will arrive in Shoreham in pristine order.
It will travel down on Wednesday 26th Sept and all being well and weather permitting it will be lifted into place on Challenge on Thursday 27th.
I'd like to thank everyone at Byworth Boiler for allowing me to visit from time to time to photograph the build.

Challenge is out of the dry dock
All the work that required the dry dock is now completed and Challenge was taken back to her berth on the 24th of Sept where she will be prepared to receive the fresh water tanks and two new generators. (weather permitting)
